drumsong's mission is three-fold.

The first component is for profit;

1. to produce entertaining and informative film and television programming, mainly on location in Nunavut, and largely in Inuktitut.

The other two components are not-for-profit;

2. to help Inuit elders to Leave a Legacy by promoting and preserving their stories, language, and culture, creating archives with participating academic institutions.

3. to Build Capacity among younger Inuit generations through on-the-job training, partnering in building a film, television and new media industry for Nunavut.
